Royal Flying Doctor Service

Final update from our (first?) attempt to participate in the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge.

As some of you already found out via FB, our trip to the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge took a surprising turn over the weekend. Gearbox failure at Pimba (SA), 170 km north of Port Augusta on Saturday - 2 days prior to race start. We are now stuck in Roxby Downs knowing that we will miss the race.
However, this no disaster. No accident, nobody has been hurt. It is utterly, utterly disappointing though.

The best part of my attempt to fulfil a crazy dream is and will remain your support!!!

Once we are back on the road we will travel back via Flinders Ranges; hoping to have a great time on some 4WD tracks... also taking the bike for a spin.

We did upload a short version of our outback trip video to youtube. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DCCay0nX98

Despite the fact that we did miss the race we think that we were able to produce some pretty cool footage incl. showing Australia from a drone’s perspective.

Thanks to donations we have raised over $5000 for the Royal Flying Doctors Service!!

You might want to check it out. Have fun!
